On September 18, more 900 French Armenians expressed their dissatisfaction about the visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev inParis, only a few days after the pardon granted to the murderer of Gurgen Markarian, Ramil Safarov.

In front of Azerbaijan embassy, several members of French parliament and senators, among which François Rochebloine, René Rouquet, François Pupponi, Philippe Kaltenbach and Valérie Boyer (author of the bill condemning of the Armenian genocide denial), declared that Safarov affair is “a crime of Azerbaijan against Armenia,” ” a violation of international justice.”
