Russian plane was downed in a “terrorist act,” security chief says



The Russian A321 plane was downed in “terror act,” Head of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin, TASS reports.

Traces of explosives of foreign production were found on the debris of the plane, Bortnikov said.

Blast of a homemade explosive device equivalent to up to 1kg of TNT was the cause of the A321 crash in Sinai, Alexander Bortnikov said.
