The “Cilicean” school for Syrian Armenians will be opened at Yerevan basic school #14 after Nar Dos on October 9. The curriculum will correspond to the Syrian academic program, the teaching will be conducted in Arabic.
Opening of the school has been initiated by “Cilicia” charity organization to help Syrian Armenian families escape difficulties, when they return to Syria after the situation stabilizes.
The Ministry of Diaspora set up a task force in July to coordinate the process of creation of the school in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science and the Yerevan City Hall.
