Armenia’s stance on the status of Karabakh unchanged – PM

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said Armenia’s stance on the status of Nagorno Karabakh remains unchanged.

“You know the position of Armenia on the status of Nagorno-Karabakh, and our position, of course, has not changed,” Pashinyan said in an interview with TASS, when asked that the trilateral statement on cessation of hostilities makes no mention of the status of Nagorno Karabakh.

According to Pashinyan, the status of Nagorno-Karabakh should be determined during the negotiation process within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group.

“In fact, there is a consensus, at least among the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, and Armenia agrees with this point of view that the negotiation process should continue within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship, and those issues that are not resolved in the joint statement should become the subject of discussion within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship, “Pashinyan said.
