Arman Babajanyan, chairman of the For the Republic party, said he voted in Armenia’s parliamentary elections in support of the republic, democratic change and a strong political counterbalance.
Speaking to reporters after casting his ballot on June 7, Babajanyan stressed the importance of having a legitimate and strong government to strengthen Armenia’s internal resilience.
“I voted for a political environment in which the existence of our state is not questioned, where the existence of our state is not considered dangerous, and for a political situation in which we are capable of fully implementing the agreements reached with our international partners as a state that honors its commitments,” he said.
Babajanyan argued that Armenia needs comprehensive reforms in several areas, including the judiciary, education, the economy, and the social and political spheres.
“Everything must be done to ensure that the legitimacy of the elections and their results are not called into question. The future and continuity of our state are at stake, and we must approach issues related to state security and the well-being of all citizens with vigilance and the utmost responsibility,” he said.
The For the Republic leader described the elections as critically important for strengthening the Armenian state and enabling society to continue addressing national challenges through unity and cooperation.
“These elections are extremely important in making our state stronger and allowing us to continue our efforts in a spirit of solidarity,” Babajanyan added.
