Catholicos Karekin II casts vote in Armenia’s parliamentary elections

His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, took part in Armenia’s parliamentary elections on June 7, casting his ballot at polling station No. 14/11 in Etchmiadzin.

Speaking to reporters after voting, the Catholicos said he had made his choice with faith, expressing hope that God would preserve the Armenian state and bless the Armenian people.

“We made our choice with faith that God will keep the Armenian state steadfast, bless our people to overcome the difficult trials and challenges we face in our lives, and help us build a strong, secure, safe, law-abiding and prosperous country,” Karekin II said.

The Catholicos emphasized the importance of unity, resilience and faith as Armenia navigates ongoing challenges and works toward a stable and prosperous future.

Armenians are voting in parliamentary elections across the country to elect members of the National Assembly, with polling stations open until 8 pm.
