Gagik Tsarukyan says voters seeking change

Gagik Tsarukyan, who heads the electoral list of the Prosperous Armenia Party in the parliamentary elections, said voter participation reflects a strong public desire for change.

Speaking to journalists after casting his ballot, Tsarukyan pointed to the level of voter activity observed since polling stations opened in the morning.

“Looking at today’s participation, with people voting since 8 a.m., we have not seen anything like this before. People want change. They are tired and want change. We voted for positive changes so that people can live better, earn money and have a better mood,” he said.

Commenting on the election outcome and the possibility of a change in government, Tsarukyan expressed confidence in the opposition’s prospects.

Asked whether the opposition has a chance of coming to power through these elections, he replied: “Absolutely.”

At the same time, Tsarukyan declined to predict how many votes his party might receive.

“I cannot say how many votes we will get, but we will definitely win. We have already won. Then we will see who receives the most votes, and that force will nominate its candidate for prime minister,” the Prosperous Armenia leader said.
