On October 5, the Aparan House of Culture hosted a festive event titled “Roof – Armenia”, dedicated to National Minorities Day. The initiative was held under the auspices of the Government of Armenia, with funding from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports and organized by the Armenian State Philharmonic.
Representatives of Armenia’s Assyrian, Jewish, Greek, Yezidi, German, Russian, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Georgian, Kurdish and Polish communities took part in the celebration.

The program consisted of two main components: culture and cuisine. The cultural segment featured a concert in the Aparan House of Culture concert hall, where ensembles from different communities performed national songs, dances, and musical pieces, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of Armenia’s diverse peoples.
The concert was followed by a showcase of national cuisines. At a specially arranged tasting corner, representatives of the communities offered traditional dishes, sharing recipes and preparation methods with the guests.
The “Roof – Armenia” project aims to highlight the cultural contributions of national minorities and to present the diversity that forms Armenia’s unique cultural identity.
