Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has welcomed the agreement reached between the United States and Iran, expressing hope that it will contribute to lasting peace and stability in the Middle East.
In a post on X, Pashinyan praised the diplomatic efforts that helped secure the breakthrough, particularly the mediation undertaken by Pakistan, Qatar, Türkiye, and other partners. He said Armenia hopes the development will pave the way for a comprehensive and durable peace across the region.
The Armenian prime minister’s remarks came after U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Washington and Tehran had finalized a framework agreement aimed at ending months of conflict. The deal was facilitated through mediation efforts led by Pakistan and supported by Qatar, Türkiye and other regional actors.
According to reports, the agreement includes an immediate cessation of hostilities and is expected to be formally signed in Switzerland later this week.
