Thousands of users worldwide reported issues accessing Meta’s social media services on Friday, with Facebook, Instagram and Messenger experiencing significant disruptions.
According to outage-tracking website Downdetector, more than 100,000 Facebook users had reported problems by 10 a.m. EDT. The platform also recorded over 9,000 reports related to Instagram and nearly 20,000 concerning Messenger.
Users reported a range of issues, including being unexpectedly logged out of their accounts, difficulties signing back in, and receiving error messages while attempting to access the services.
