Armenia’s Central Election Commission finalizes parliamentary election results

Armenia’s Central Election Commission (CEC) on Saturday finalized the official results of the parliamentary elections held on June 7.

According to the results announced by CEC Chairman Vahagn Hovakimyan, the ruling Civil Contract Party secured a clear victory, receiving 726,819 votes, or 49.75% of the total vote.

The Strong Armenia Alliance came in second with 340,006 votes (23.27%), while the Armenia Alliance finished third with 144,983 votes (9.92%).

Other parties and alliances failed to surpass the electoral threshold required for parliamentary representation. Among them, the Prosperous Armenia Party received 58,287 votes (3.99%)..

Voter turnout reached 1,476,769 people, representing 58.9% of eligible voters.

Under the finalized results, three political forces will be represented in the new National Assembly: the Civil Contract Party, the Strong Armenia Alliance, and the Armenia Alliance. Civil Contract will hold a parliamentary majority and will be able to form the next government on its own.
