Four political forces to be represented in Armenia’s new Parliament

Four political forces will be represented in Armenia’s newly elected National Assembly, formed as a result of the regular parliamentary elections. These are the ruling Civil Contract party, Prosperous Armenia Party, as well as the Strong Armenia Alliance and Armenia Alliance blocs.

The newly elected National Assembly will have 105 members.

According to preliminary results, parliamentary seats will be distributed as follows:

  • Civil Contract Party – 61 seats
  • Strong Armenia Alliance – 28 seats
  • Armenia Alliance – 11 seats
  • Prosperous Armenia Party – 5 seats

As for the additional seats reserved by law for representatives of Armenia’s four largest national minorities, three of those mandates have been allocated to the Civil Contract Party, which received the highest number of votes, while one additional mandate has gone to the Strong Armenia Alliance.
