CEC releases final election results, declares Serzh Sargsyan the winner

The Armenian Central Electoral Commission today released the final results of the February 18 presidential election.

According to the final protocol, the total number of voters was 2,527,822, of which 1,521,261 participated in the elections.

The votes were distributed as follows: Hrant Bagratyan – 31,643 (2.15%), Paruyr Hayrikyan – 18,096 (1.23%), Raffi Hovhannisyan – 539,693 (36.75%), Andrias Ghukasyan -8,329 (0.57%), Arman Melikyan – 3,520 (0.24%), Serzh Sargsyan – 861,373 (58.64%) and Vardan Sedrakyan – 6,210 (0.42%).

Thus, the Central Electoral Commission  declared incumbent President, leader of the Republican Party of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan the winner of the presidential elections.
