Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract party dominates electronic voting results

Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has announced the results of electronic voting in the country’s parliamentary elections, with the ruling Civil Contract party receiving an overwhelming majority of the votes cast.

CEC Chairman Vahagn Hovakimyan presented the results, noting that 537 citizens were eligible to vote electronically, of whom 410 participated in the process. A total of 22 ballots were declared invalid.

According to the official results, the votes were distributed as follows:

  • Civil Contract Party – 330 votes
  • Strong Armenia Alliance – 13 votes
  • Wings of Unity Party – 13 votes
  • Armenia Alliance – 8 votes
  • I am Against Everyone Democratic Party – 5 votes
  • Prosperous Armenia Party – 5 votes
  • Armenian Sovereign Party – 5 votes
  • For the Republic Party – 4 votes
  • New Force Reformist Party – 3 votes
  • Democratic Consolidation Party – 1 vote
  • Democracy, Law and Discipline Party – 1 vote
  • Bright Armenia Party – 1 vote

The rest of the parties received no votes in the electronic ballot.

Following the presentation of the figures, the CEC officially validated the electronic voting results.

Under Armenian law, the right to participate in electronic voting in nationwide elections is granted to members of Armenia’s diplomatic missions abroad and their family members.
