A 65-member platoon of Armenian peacekeepers left for Afghanistan on January 11 to participate in the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF).
Before starting mission in Afghanistan, the Armenian peacekeepers will participate in trainings in the Afghan city of Mazar-e Sharif. Here the Armenian platoon will defend the airport and the ISAF headquarters within the German battalion.
