There is no alternative to the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said at the 60th Plenary Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in The Hague, RIA Novosti reports.
The Secretary General said he’s concerned over the incidents and violence in Nagorno Karabakh.
“I’m concerned about the recent incidents and violence in Nagorno Karabakh. This underlined that there can be no military solution to this conflict,” Stoltenberg said.
According to him, “there is no alternative to peaceful settlement.”
“I see no direct role of NATO, but NATO supports the Minsk process to create conditions for sustainable peace in Nagorno Karabakh through negotiations,” the Secretary General noted.
