Concert dedicated to the 110th birth anniversary of renowned Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian was held at the Big Hall of the Saint Petersburg State Academic Philharmonic Society named after Shostakovich.
Armenian Consul General Vardan Hakobyan offered opening remarks. The Academic Symphonic Orchestra of Saint Petersburg played Aram Khachaturian’s Cello Concerto. Excerpts from “Spartak” and “Gayane” ballets were also perfumed.
In attendance were Consul Generals and diplomats accredited to Saint Petersburg.
