Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with U.S. Chargé d’Affaires David Allen and Edward Aikler, Head of the Economic and Commercial Section at the U.S. Embassy in Armenia, on July 23 to discuss bilateral economic cooperation and issues related to Armenia’s market economy status.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the sides reaffirmed that economic cooperation between Armenia and the United States is developing dynamically, noting the positive progress achieved in recent months.
The meeting also focused on the process of granting Armenia Market Economy Status by the United States.
Papoyan expressed confidence that the effective cooperation established between the two countries would help advance the process consistently and further expand the bilateral economic agenda of mutual interest.
