The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye has welcomed the peaceful conduct of Armenia’s parliamentary elections and expressed hope for further progress toward regional peace and normalization.
In a statement issued following the June 7 vote, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said it welcomed the fact that the elections had been concluded in a peaceful and calm atmosphere.
The statement also expressed hope that Armenia would take further steps in the post-election period to advance peace and normalization efforts in the region.
“In the post-election period, we hope that Armenia will take bolder steps towards peace and normalization in the region,” the ministry noted.
Türkiye further reaffirmed its commitment to supporting regional stability, cooperation, and prosperity, emphasizing that it would continue to contribute to these goals on the basis of the common interests of the countries of the region.
“Türkiye will continue to contribute to regional stability and prosperity, as it has done to date, based on the common interests of the countries of the region,” the statement added.
