Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar has congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the ruling Civil Contract Party on their victory in Armenia’s parliamentary elections.
In a message posted on social media, Sa’ar praised Pashinyan’s leadership and highlighted his efforts to advance peace and reconciliation in the South Caucasus.
“We congratulate the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, and the Civil Contract Party on the victory in the Armenian parliamentary elections,” Sa’ar wrote.
“Prime Minister Pashinyan has demonstrated leadership by advancing his country towards peace and reconciliation with Azerbaijan, which will promote regional stability and cooperation,” he stated.
Sa’ar’s message adds to a series of congratulatory statements from international leaders following Armenia’s parliamentary elections, in which the ruling Civil Contract Party secured a clear victory according to preliminary results.
