
Armenia’s Central Election Commission (CEC) has released updated results from 1,964 polling stations in the country’s parliamentary elections, showing the ruling Civil Contract party maintaining a lead.
According to the latest figures, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s Civil Contract party received 700,818 votes, accounting for 49.93% of the ballots counted so far.
The opposition Strong Armenia alliance is in second place with 327,532 votes (23.33%), while the Armenia Alliance secured 138,888 votes (9.89%).
The Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) garnered 56,039 votes, representing 3.99% of the vote.
The total number of citizens who participated in the election stands at 1,420,382, according to the CEC.
