Pashinyan, Putin discuss bilateral agenda in phone call

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Armenian government reported.

During the call, President Putin congratulated Prime Minister Pashinyan on his birthday and conveyed his best wishes. Pashinyan thanked the Russian leader for the call and the birthday greetings.

The two leaders also exchanged views on current issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda.

According to the Armenian government, Pashinyan expressed gratitude to Putin for his balanced positions on a number of issues that have given rise to differing interpretations, as well as for his friendly tone and support.

The interlocutors agreed to continue their discussions at a suitable opportunity in the near future in the format of a face-to-face meeting.
