Czech Prime Minister congratulates Armenia’s Pashinyan on election victory

Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš has congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his party’s victory in the recent parliamentary elections in Armenia.

In a congratulatory message, Babiš said the election results reflected the confidence Armenian citizens have in Pashinyan’s leadership.

“Allow me, on behalf of myself and the Czech Republic, to sincerely congratulate you on your victory in the recent parliamentary elections. The outcome of these elections clearly demonstrates the trust that the citizens of your country place in you,” the Czech Prime Minister said.

Babiš recalled his meeting with Pashinyan in Yerevan in May and praised Armenia for hosting the European Political Community Summit.

“I warmly remember our meeting in Yerevan this May and am pleased that the Republic of Armenia hosted the European Political Community Summit, which can be considered successful and was accompanied by positive international feedback,” he noted.

Expressing confidence in Armenia’s future, the Czech Prime Minister said he believes that under Pashinyan’s leadership the country will successfully overcome current challenges, continue to prosper, and maintain its pro-Western orientation.

Babiš also highlighted the traditionally friendly relations between Armenia and the Czech Republic, which he said are based on shared values, mutual respect, and close cooperation in a number of areas, including trade, transport, and the defense industry.

“I highly value this partnership and look forward to our future personal cooperation, both bilaterally and within international organizations,” he said.

The Czech Prime Minister wished Pashinyan success, good health, and strength in carrying out his demanding and responsible duties.
