Iran receives 15-point US ceasefire proposal from Trump administration, Pakistan officials say

Iran has received a 15-point proposal from the U.S. to reach a ceasefire in the war, the Associated Press quotes two Pakistani officials as saying on Wednesday.

The officials described the proposal broadly as touching on sanctions relief, civilian nuclear cooperation, a rollback of Iran’s nuclear program, monitoring by the International Atomic Energy Agency, missile limits and access for shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

An Egyptian official involved in the mediation efforts said it also includes restrictions on Iran’s support for armed groups. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss details not yet released.

Tehran has not confirmed receiving the plan and publicly dismissed the diplomatic effort while launching more attacks on Israel and Gulf Arab countries, including an assault that sparked a huge fire at Kuwait International Airport. Iran also continued to come under attack.
