Iranian drone attacks have been reported on an airport in Azerbaijan’s Nakhijevan region, an autonomous exclave bordering Iran and Armenia, the BBC reports.
Videos show smoke billowing from the Nakhijevan International Airport building and firefighters dealing with a blaze.
A video, filmed from the airport car park after the airport was hit, a drone crashes and causes an explosion nearby, in the vicinity of nearby Shakarabad village.
Azerbaijan’s foreign ministry said one drone struck the terminal building of the airport while another fell near a school building in Shakarabad. Two civilians were injured, it added.
