Armenia will present “Ode to Lord Byron” by artist Zadik Zadikian at the 61st Venice International Art Biennale, which will run from May 9 to November 22, 2026, under the theme “In Minor Keys.”
The decision was made following the results of the national competition to select the curator and artist for the Armenian Pavilion. During its session on October 16, the jury reviewed seven submissions and selected Zadikian’s project as the winner through a closed vote. The project will be curated by Tony Shafrazi and Tina Shakarian.
Zadik Zadikian is a contemporary visual artist whose distinctive and innovative works have been showcased in major galleries across the United States and Europe.
Tony Shafrazi is a prominent contemporary art specialist and advisor to several leading international galleries, while Tina Shakarian has curated and organized numerous contemporary art exhibitions abroad.
