Vanadzor is set to become the center of Armenia’s tech world as it hosts Tech Week Vanadzor 2025 from July 4 to 6, with more than 2,000 expected participants.
One of the most anticipated events in Armenia’s tech calendar, Tech Week is unique in its mission: it has never been held in Yerevan – and never will be. The idea behind the initiative is to symbolically “evacuate” the tech capital from Yerevan and bring it to the regions for three days, fostering decentralization and regional development.
This year, Vanadzor will welcome leading figures from the tech sector, CEOs of tech companies, seasoned and aspiring entrepreneurs, students, and anyone interested in the field of technology.
The main venue for the event is the Charles Aznavour Cultural Palace in Vanadzor, which will host conferences and panel discussions featuring both local and international experts.
Over the course of three days, more than 60 speakers will take the stage – including company founders, executives, tech entrepreneurs, investors, and other prominent voices from the sector.
A key highlight of the program is the DevHacks hackathon, which will take place at the Vanadzor Technology Center (VTC) and is organized by Layerswap. Teams of 3 to 5 participants will work intensively for 48 hours to turn their innovative ideas into prototypes. Out of 95 applications received, 68 teams have been selected to participate.
Tech Week Vanadzor 2025 will also serve as a platform for the “Wings” innovation competition, designed to promote the socio-economic development of the Lori region. The competition is open to professional teams from a range of sectors — from technology to agribusiness and tourism. Seven teams will be selected in the first phase and will receive mentorship support to refine their projects. The initiative is supported by the Business Angel Network of Armenia (BANA). Over 40 applications were submitted for the competition.
In addition, more than 300 participants have already registered for hands-on workshops, which will be held throughout the event.
Tech Week Vanadzor 2025 is more than just a conference — it is a driving force for regional development. The initiative is spearheaded by TCF, Zealous, and the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE).
