
Ambassador of Armenia to France Arman Khachatryan held a meeting with members of the France-Armenia Friendship Group in the French National Assembly.
During the meeting, Ambassador Khachatryan expressed his gratitude to the National Assembly and its members for consistently keeping issues related to Armenia and the Armenian people in focus. He especially commended the group’s president, Laurent Wauquiez, for his ongoing commitment to advancing cooperation with Armenia and addressing the concerns of the Armenian people.
At the request of the parliamentarians, Ambassador Khachatryan presented Armenia’s positions on key regional issues, including the signing of a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, the Armenia-Azerbaijan border delimitation process, and the unblocking of regional communications within the framework of the Armenian government’s “Crossroads of Peace” initiative. He emphasized Armenia’s commitment to establishing lasting peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
The ambassador also spoke about the broad and dynamic agenda of Armenia-France relations, highlighting high-level bilateral engagements, the strategic sectors of cooperation, and France-supported programs aimed at strengthening Armenia’s resilience. He noted the importance of the deepening partnership with the European Union and the government’s continued efforts to reinforce democratic institutions in Armenia.
Regional issues were also discussed during the meeting.
In response, members of the France-Armenia Friendship Group, led by President Laurent Wauquiez, reaffirmed the commitment of the French National Assembly and the group to strengthening Armenian-French friendship. They voiced support for Armenia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as for the country’s efforts to promote peace and expand its strategic partnership with France.
