
An alley named after the Armenian city of Armavir was officially inaugurated in the German city of Naumburg during the annual Naumburg Hussite Cherry Festival.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Armavir Mayor Varsham Sargsyan, Naumburg Mayor Armin Müller, and Armenia’s Ambassador to Germany, Viktor Yengibaryan.


Among the guests were Armavir Regional Governor Vahram Khachatryan, Armenia’s Honorary Consul in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt Michael Schmidt, Member of the Saxony-Anhalt State Parliament Daniel Sturm, representatives of the partner cities of Armavir and Naumburg, as well as delegations from Les Ulis, France, and Aachen, Germany, and numerous other guests.
Armavir and Naumburg became partner cities in 2025 following the signing of a partnership agreement. Since then, the two municipalities have been closely cooperating in the fields of educational exchange programs, viticulture, and the promotion of economic ties.
