Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a congratulatory message to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the occasion of Russia Day, the Armenian government reported.
In his message, Pashinyan extended his congratulations on the national holiday of the Russian Federation, describing Russia Day as a significant occasion that reflects the responsibility of Russian citizens for their country’s future and their aspiration to independently determine the state’s path of development.
The Armenian prime minister expressed confidence that the longstanding ties between the peoples of Armenia and Russia, as well as the mutual commitment to open and constructive dialogue based on respect for each other’s sovereignty and national interests, would continue to contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Pashinyan also emphasized the importance of making full use of the opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.
“I wish you, dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, well-being and success in your state activities, and all the best and prosperity to the people of Russia,” Pashinyan said in his message.
Russia Day, celebrated annually on June 12, marks the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic in 1990 and is one of the country’s main national holidays.
