On today’s sad 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, we remember and honor the memory of one and a half million innocent victims, Greek President Konstantinos Tasoulas said in a statement.
“It is a supreme national obligation, both to the memory of these people and to our human conscience, not only to restore historical truth, but also to be constantly vigilant to prevent similar heinous crimes in the future, which, like the Armenians, Greeks have also suffered, as well as any act that incites, by deed or word, discrimination, intolerance and violence,” the President said.
“The only path for humanity is none other than that of peace, coexistence and justice,” he added.
