A statue of Komitas will be unveiled in Istanbul on Saturday, November 23 on the 150th anniversary of the composer.
The ceremony will take place in the garden of the Armenian Patriarchate under the auspices of Bishop Sahak Mashalian.
The monument-sculpture was made thanks to the selfless efforts of famous painter and sculptor Erol Sarafyan and the philanthropist Sarkis Külegeç.
