Reality start Kim Kardashian has posted a photo from her recent visit to Armenia in honor of Tuesday’s news that the US House of Representatives passed a resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide.
The entrepreneur shared a picture of herself and her four children from the trip, captioning it with praise for the development.
“Yesterday was such a huge victory for the Armenian people when the US House Of Representatives acknowledged the Armenian Genocide!” she wrote.
‘This photo was taken of me and my children this month in Armenia,’ she concluded, along with crediting the photographer, Jackie Nickerson.
The US House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly to adopt a resolution (H. Res. 296) affirming the United States record on the Armenian Genocide.
It ensures that the United States commemorates the Armenian Genocide through official recognition and remembrance and rejects efforts to enlist, engage, or otherwise associate the United States Government with denial of the Armenian Genocide or any other genocide
It also encourages education and public understanding of the facts of the Armenian Genocide, including the United States role in the humanitarian relief effort, and the relevance of the Armenian Genocide to modern-day crimes against humanity.
