Putin hosts Erdogan for Syria talks

Vladimir Putin received the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who arrived in Russia on a working visit, at the Bocharov Ruchei residence, Kremlin reports.

The two leaders plan to discuss developments in Syria, including ways to normalise the situation in the northeast of the country, to counter international terrorist groups and advance the political settlement process.

The leaders will also exchange views on the statements made by Washington and Ankara regarding the developments in Syria.

The restricted format talks will be followed by expanded consultations, with members of the two countries’ delegations attending. The Presidents will make statements for the media following the meeting.
