Forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad enter the Kurdish-held border enclave of Afrin, raising risk of clashes with Turkey, reports say, the BBC reports.
Aleppo-based journalist Hovig Shehirian confirmed the news to Public Radio of Armenia.
It comes a day after Syria’s state news agency said “popular forces” would be sent to support Afrin “against the Turkish regime’s attack”.
