On 10 February President Bako Sahakyan sent a congratulatory address to Hero of Artsakh, holder of the “Golden Eagle” order, writer, publicist Zori Balayan on his 80th birthday anniversary.
The address runs as follows:
“Respected Mr. Balayan,
On behalf of the Artsakh people, authorities and myself personally I cordially congratulate You on this memorable jubilee – 80th birthday anniversary.
You have deserved to be proud of Your life, which You have dedicated to help Your nation, take over its pain, up to now doing everything possible to relieve them.
As an Artsakh-born renowned writer, publicist, public and political figure, physician and great patriot You have always been standing at the forefront of the struggle carried on for realizing our centuries-long national goals and cherished aspirations, becoming one of the standard bearers of the Artsakh National-Liberation Movement.
Your life and commitment aimed at the reinforcement and prosperity of the native land, the ongoing strengthening of the Armenian statehood, cementing the Motherland-Diaspora ties are the best examples of patriotism for the generations to come.
I once again congratulate You and wish peace, robust health, long life, success and all the best”.
