Shekhar Kapur, an Indian film director and producer, is going to visit Yeravan to explore the possibilities of making a film.
“Going to Armenia to study the massacre of Armenians in 1915 and perhaps make a film on it later,” Kapur tweeted.
Shekhar Kapur is a critically acclaimed Indian film director and producer. He rose to popularity with the Hindi language movie Bandit Queen based upon the life of Phoolan Devi, an infamous Indian outlaw. His historical biopics of Queen Elizabeth garnered 7 Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actress for Cate Blanchett.
