U.S. President Donald Trump has publicly endorsed Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for re-election ahead of Armenia’s June 7, 2026 parliamentary elections, praising his leadership and support for regional peace and economic cooperation.
In a post published on his social media platform, Trump described Pashinyan as “a great friend and Leader” who is making Armenia “strong, wealthy, and very secure.” Trump stated that the Armenian prime minister shares his vision of “peace and prosperity” for Armenia and the wider South Caucasus region.
The U.S. president also highlighted the recent visit of U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Armenia, saying several important agreements had been advanced between Washington and Yerevan during the trip.
According to Trump, the United States and Armenia are expected to soon launch the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity,” a project he claimed would transform the South Caucasus and improve energy access between Central Asia and the United States.
Trump further said the initiative would help American energy companies expand access to resources from Central Asia, while strengthening regional cooperation.
“For these reasons, Nikol has my COMPLETE and TOTAL Endorsement for Re-Election on June 7, 2026,” Trump wrote, adding that cooperation between the United States, Armenia, the South Caucasus and Central Asia would reach “greater heights than ever before.”
