Armenian FM meets NATO Ambassadors, highlights peace efforts and democratic reforms

On September 12, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with a delegation of permanent representatives of NATO member states.

During the meeting, Minister Mirzoyan outlined Armenia’s approach to developing its partnership with NATO and its member countries, as well as the ongoing joint work being carried out in this direction. The sides also discussed existing opportunities for further cooperation.

Mirzoyan highlighted the agreements reached on August 8 in Washington as one of the most significant developments on the path toward peace in the region, informing the ambassadors about the ongoing discussions aimed at implementing these agreements.

In the context of Armenia’s foreign and security policy, the Foreign Minister presented Armenia’s vision for strengthening democratic institutions and resilience amid a dynamically changing global environment, promoting stability in the South Caucasus, and advancing bilateral relations across multiple fields.

Mirzoyan also answered questions from the NATO ambassadors, and the sides exchanged views on current international developments.
