The lives of those injured in an accident at a military training ground are not in danger, Armenia’s Ministry of Defense has confirmed.
On July 8, at around 4:00 p.m., an explosion occurred during a training exercise at a Defense Ministry N military training ground. According to preliminary reports, the incident was caused by a mortar round blast.
Several individuals sustained injuries as a result of the explosion. The Ministry of Defense stated that all the wounded are under the supervision of hospital medical staff and are receiving the necessary treatment.
A formal investigation is under way to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
