The Armenian Government has okayed the ratification of the Convention between Japan and the Republic of Armenia for the Elimination of Double Taxation with Respect to Taxes on Income and the Prevention of Tax Evasion and Avoidance.
The document signed in Yerevan on December 26, 2024 aims to eliminate double taxation in the two countries, by clarifying the scope of taxable income in Japan and Armenia. It is also expected that this Convention ensures prevention of international tax evasion and tax avoidance, promoting further mutual investments and economic exchanges between the two countries.
