Egypt has welcomed the completion of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“The Arab Republic of Egypt welcomes the completion of negotiations on the peace agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, which contributes to ending the conflict between the two countries, establishing peace in the South Caucasus region, and moving forward toward a more stable and secure future for the region,” Egypt’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
It stated that the step comes as a culmination of the efforts made by both countries in recent years and expressed its hope for the signing of the peace agreement between the two nations at the earliest possible opportunity convenient for both parties.
