The intensive exchange of fire that started as a result of large-scale provocation by the Azerbaijani side continues, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense Aram Torosyan informs.
According to him, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia “are giving an adequate response.”
The Ministry of Defense will provide regular updates on the development of the situation.
The Defense Ministry said earlier the Azerbaijani units started firing intensively at the Armenian positions in the direction of Jermuk, Sotk and Goris shortly after midnight.
