Armenia’s Karen Avagyan (89kg) snatched gold at European U20 Championships in Bucharest, Romania.
The Armenian weightlifter showed a result of 364kg (170kg + 194kg). Avagyan won a small gold medal in the snatch and a silver medal in the clean and jerk.
Ara Aghanyan won a silver medal in the same weight category. In the duel that saw two Armenian lifters compete for the first place, Aghanyan showed the result of 358kg (162kg + 196kg). Aghanyan won a small silver in the snatch exercise and a gold medal in the clean and jerk. .
Liana Gurdjian (81kg) won a gold medal in the U-20 and Rafik Harutyunyan (81kg) won the bronze.
