Armenia, Oman explore fresh produce export opportunities

On July 15, Deputy Ministers of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Arman Khojoyan and Anushik Avetyan met with Abdul Vahidi, Director of the KV Group Company of the Sultanate of Oman, Vice President Muhammad Al Balushi, and Hrachya Poladyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Sultanate of Oman.

The Ministry of Economy reports that during the meeting, the development of trade and economic cooperation between Armenia and Oman, as well as the opportunities for exporting Armenian fresh fruits and vegetables to the Omani market, were discussed.

Arman Khojoyan presented the export promotion policy of the Armenian government, emphasizing the importance of expanding cooperation with the Persian Gulf countries, and also presented the potential of intensive horticulture and greenhouse farming in Armenia.

Representatives of the KV Group expressed interest in the issue of importing fresh fruits and vegetables from Armenia. During the visit, they will visit a number of horticultural and greenhouse farms in Armenia to get acquainted with the products and export opportunities on site.

The parties agreed to continue cooperation, organize B2B meetings with the participation of Armenian producers, and exchange necessary information in order to clarify practical directions of cooperation.
