
Following an official welcoming ceremony at Georgia’s Ministry of Defense, Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan held a private meeting with his Georgian counterpart Irakli Chikovan, which later continued in an expanded format with the participation of both delegations.
Armenia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia, Ashot Smbatyan, also attended the meeting.
The discussions focused on the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation in the field of defense. The sides explored opportunities to further strengthen collaboration and deepen ties between the two countries’ defense sectors.
Regional security issues were also high on the agenda, with both parties exchanging views on a number of matters related to stability and security in the broader region.
