Pashinyan, Macron discuss Armenia-France ties, regional developments

Within the framework of the 7th summit of the European Political Community in Copenhagen, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan held a meeting with President of France Emmanuel Macron.

During the talks, Prime Minister Pashinyan and President Macron discussed the course of Armenia–France multifaceted cooperation and prospects for its development. Both sides reaffirmed the high level of the privileged relations established between Armenia and France and emphasized the importance of implementing new joint initiatives.

The meeting also touched upon regional developments, the agreements reached at the Washington Peace Summit, as well as issues related to the implementation of the “TRIPP” project.

President Macron reiterated France’s continued support for Armenia’s independence and sovereignty, as well as for the country’s democratic reform agenda. Prime Minister Pashinyan expressed gratitude to France for its comprehensive support during this important period for Armenia.

The two leaders agreed to maintain close contacts both bilaterally and within multilateral platforms.
