
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Greece, Tigran Mkrtchyan, met with Member of the Hellenic Parliament and former Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Defense of Greece, Dimitris Avramopoulos, a representative of the ruling “New Democracy” party.
During the meeting, Ambassador Mkrtchyan presented Armenia’s foreign policy priorities, including the Armenian Government’s “Crossroads of Peace” initiative. He also briefed the Greek official on the current state of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and the importance of normalizing ties with Türkiye.
Dimitris Avramopoulos emphasized the importance of resolving disagreements exclusively through diplomatic means and welcomed Armenia’s proactive approach to normalizing relations with its neighbors. He also stressed the need to further strengthen and deepen Armenia-Greece relations.
In this context, the two sides discussed upcoming initiatives to boost parliamentary diplomacy between the two countries.
