Zvartnots International Airport welcomes inaugural Jazeera Airways flight from Kuwait

Zvartnots International Airport today welcomed the inaugural flight from Kuwait operated by Jazeera Airways, marking the launch of a new direct air connection between the two countries.

The official ceremony was attended by Marcelo Wende, Director of “Armenia” International Airports” CJSC, Sergey Avetisyan, General Manager of the company, Barathan Pasupathi, CEO of Jazeera Airways, Arsen Arakelyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the State of Kuwait, Mohammed Aloraifan, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Republic of Armenia, and other distinguished guests.

“We are delighted to witness the launch of this direct route between Yerevan and Kuwait. It represents a significant step in strengthening ties between our nations and will help boost both tourism and business,” said Marcelo Wende, Director of “Armenia” International Airports” CJSC.

Jazeera Airways, Kuwait’s leading low-cost carrier, operates a fleet of 24 aircraft, including 11 A320neo, and serves over 60 destinations across the Middle East, Central and South Asia, Africa, and Europe.

“We are proud to be the only airline currently offering direct flights between Kuwait and Yerevan,” said Barathan Pasupathi, CEO of Jazeera Airways. “Armenia is a captivating destination, known for its natural beauty, rich history, and warm hospitality. With visa-free access for Kuwaiti travelers, this new route provides a convenient and affordable way to explore a unique part of the world.”

The Kuwait–Yerevan–Kuwait route will operate three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
