His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, consecrated the newly built Armenian church
In his speech, His Holiness commended the attitude of the authorities of the Republic of Belarus, who made it possible to rebuild the church, which should add new vitality to the national-ecclesiastical life of the community.
“It is a special satisfaction for My Holiness to note that the relations between our peoples are anchored on the common values of Christian identity, friendship, traditional perceptions of homeland and family, as well as on the precious memories of joint struggles and feats,” said the Catholicos of All Armenians, expressing hope that the good name and reputation of the Armenians living in Belarus and their fruitful activities in various fields will further strengthen the friendly ties between the two peoples and make mutually beneficial cooperation effective.
The construction of Belarus’ first and only Armenian Apostolic Church to a design by the architect Samvel Makyan began in August 2022 and was completed in April 2025.
